PHRYGIA, Ancyra. Otacilia Severa. Augusta, AD 244-249. Æ (26.5mm, 8.16 g, 5h). P. Arruntius Zoilos, first archon for the second time. Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Cybele seated left on throne, wearing kalathos, holding patera and resting elbow on tympanum. RPC VIII Online 20204; SNG von Aulock 3447. Earthen brown patina, cleaning marks. Good Fine. Rare variety.

There are two subvarieties that fall under RPC 20204, with or without a scepter. Of the nine specimens known to RPC, only two, like our coin, lack the scepter.
